Faba Factory

From feed to food

That’s the main concept behind Faba Factory, an initiative by food designer Katja Gruijters in collaboration with vegan food producer Boon Bonen, to explore the possibilities of faba beans, normally used to feed the cattle. They came up with products such as the Fabatofu or Fababier. Their goal is not only to explore the potential of faba beans, but also to connected producers, scientist and designers in a platform to celebrate this nutritious bean.

We worked for them on the creation of the visual identity, website, illustrations and packaging for Faba Factory. We also teamed up with Dutch product design studio Ant Eye, who built a photography set that would explain the production of the Fabatofu in a fun, quirky way.
