ON THE FUTURES OF FOOD
Floriade is one of the biggest events in The Netherlands, in which national and international partners present innovations and solutions for sustainable and liveable cities. The 60-hectare site featured the theme of “Growing Cities”, and we had the pleasure to display The Museum of Endangered Foods at the Natural Pavilion.
Organized by Next Nature, the pavilion featured ideas and solutions around the concept of “connection between technological innovation and all of nature’s wisdom”. Not only the 24 projects displayed were incredibly inspiring, but also the building itself. Designed by Fiction Factory in collaboration with studio Harm Rensink, it displayed so many innovations around the idea of “living buildings”, as well as innovative and up-cycled materials such as seashells or hay.
